This is a model of the Wheeler house in Los Angeles, California. The house was one of the less important commissions of the firm of Greene and Greene, but is typical  of the brother's style. It has large exposed timbers and extremely wide overhangs, necessary to shield the house from the bright California sun in the days before air conditioning.
