This is a model of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Columbia, California. It was built in 1852 and is believed to be the first brick church built in the state. The tower bell was cast in New York and delivered to California by ship around-the-horn as this was before the trans-continental railroad and the Panama Canal. The church was condemned in 1910 but was rehabilitated and re-opened in 1926. The model was made from front and side elevation drawings.
