This is a model of an unidentified Modern house of the 1930's. Characterized by simple geometric shapes, flat roofs, and a complete lack of applied ornamentation, this "International Style" arose during a period of great social and economic change. Traditional architectural forms and materials were rejected in favor of an industrial aesthetic reflecting the growing influence of factory and machine-made products.
