Guidelines for the Submission of Manuscripts

Submissions should be sent for consideration to the editor in electronic form, either as e-mail attachments (to dhaase@wayne.edu) or on CD-ROM to:

Donald Haase
Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures
Wayne State University
Detroit, MI 48202 USA

Only original articles that are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal will be considered. Send queries to the Editor at the above e-mail or postal address, by fax (1-313-577-6243), or by telephone (1-313-577-3002).

Style
Submissions must be prepared according to the second edition of the MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing and use parenthetical documentation with a list of Works Cited. They must be double-spaced, including all quotations, endnotes, and the list of Works Cited. Submissions should be prepared for anonymous review (i.e., without any reference to the author's identity).

Electronic Submission
Authors whose work is accepted for publication must submit the following three items prepared on a common word-processing program such as MS Word or as an RTF file:

(1) a copy of the final manuscript;
(2) a 100-word abstract; and
(3) a brief biographical note.

Endnotes should not be embedded within the file using the word processor's automatic documentation feature, but should instead be typed separately at the end of the article before the list of Works Cited.

Permissions for Copyrighted Materials
For contributions that include any copyrighted materials, the author must secure written permission (specifiying "non-exclusive world rights and electronic rights") to reproduce them. Permission fees are the responsibility of the author.
