As one of your oral presentations this semester, you will be expected to make a five-minute presentation on one of the following topics. Your presentation should provide general background information that will help to contextualize our course readings.

No later than one week before your presentation, you must make an appointment to discuss your (already prepared) presentation with me. You should bring to this meeting a rough draft of the handout that you will give to the class. It should include:
1. Title
2. a vocabulary list of 5-10 terms with definitions in German
3. an outline of your presentation (I. A. B. II. A. B. III. A. B. )
4. a list of three questions that your colleagues should be able to answer after hearing your presentation.
5. a bibliography of at least three sources (one must be a print source) that you used for your presentation (use the MLA handbook for the format).

We will discuss this material , I will make suggestions, and then you will create a revised handout for the class.

Your presentation should be 5-7 minutes long-I will time you, so make sure to practice it a couple of times before class. It will be graded on organization, content, clarity (grammar and pronunciation), and ability to finish within allotted time.

Please sign up for topics by September 15. They will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you e-mail me your preference, please send me your topic three wishes.
