Second Life - by Anne-Marie Armstrong, OTL: A workshop on Second Life will provide hands-on use of Second Life and an overview of some the resources available in this virtual world for teaching language.  In the workshop your avatar will visit different islands where languages are used and practiced.  You will be able to discuss this methodology with fellow language instructors.  Following is a link to Presentations from a conference on Language Education in Virtual Worlds  http://www.slanguages.net/archive.php

Using the Grade Center in Blackboard - This session will cover Blackboard Basics during the first hour and will cover site navigation, organizing and managing materials, and available Blackboard features. The second hour will include an in-depth look at the new Blackboard Grade Center.
