| Sangeetha has been working
for the Foreign Language Technology Center since March 2002.
Her interests are in exploring ways to use technology to make
foreign language teaching and learning more effective. She
has instituted an Incentive-Grants program for faculty using
technology in foreign language and culture instruction. She
has also inaugurated a technology forum, hosted by the FLTC.
The forum showcases exemplary use of technology by faculty
both at WSU and at other institutions.
Prior to joining Wayne State University,
she worked at Purdue University, where she taught students
in Educational Technology courses both computing skills and
strategies to apply these skills in classroom settings. While
at Purdue she designed and developed a video-based interactive
instructional CD-ROM, VisionQuest, featuring case studies,
and an online course, TIPDOC, for educators wanting to integrate
technology in instruction.
Before joining Purdue University, Sangeetha
was a faculty member at the Goethe Institute in Chennai, India,
where she taught the German language for 5 years to diverse
audiences of adult learners.
Sangeetha is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in
Instructional Technology at Wayne State. She has an M. S.
in Educational Technology from Purdue University. She also
holds a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from the
Universities of Delhi and Madras, India, respectively.
